Our Project Report

                AN ENLIGHTMENT CAMPAIGN

PREPARE THE NATION, CREATE AN OPINION

First terror attack held in India in 1966 in Assam in which more than 55 people were killed and 127 were injured. Since then India has suffered more than 160 attacks in which thousands of people were either killed or injured. Now it’s high time .The main reason behind is the image of India as a soft corner state. The judicial process in India is lengthy and tedious. It takes many years for awarding a terrorist a verdict. Moreover, the terrorists who have been awarded death sentence are not hanged for years. In this campaign we would like to draw the attention of our government to carry out the punishment awarded to these terrorists as soon as possible. It is really a matter of great shame that all the parties in the governance for the sake of their vested interest of vote politics  and on the name of governance of international policies prefers to keep the execution of the punishments awarded to the terrorists by various courts pending for a long time. These terrorists who have taken the precious life of our dear ones should pay for each and every tear that has fallen from the eyes of the families of the martyrs.

In this campaign we will simultaneously undertake both signature and postcard campaign.  We will write postcards to the Prime Minister demanding him to issue order for immediate execution of Ajmal Kasab and Afzal Guru. We want to tell the government that we do not want these terrorists alive for another plane hijacks like the one in Kandhar or kidnapping of a Minister’s daughter to happen so that we can free those terrorists who have killed our dear ones. We want to set an example that anyone who acts against the interest or pride of our country will be severely punished.

                                                                 AJMAL KASAB

                                                             AFZAL GURU

If these terrorists are kept alive there is a strong possibility that another conspiracy like the one which happened in Kandhar may happen again to get these terrorists free. Moreover if they are not severely punished a wrong sentiment will go to the world that anyone can do anything against the state in India but he will not be punished. This will further give rise to terrorism. Because of our lenient attitude towards terrorism today more than 232 out of 608 districts of our country are afflicted, at differing intensities, by various insurgent and terrorist movements. In 2006, our national security advisor MK Narayanan said, that there are as many as 800 terrorist cells operating in India. If we want to stop these terrorist activities we will have to take a stern step against them. The foremost step that needs to be taken is quick judgment and strict punishment against the people involved in terrorist activities because the country is governed by the Iron hands.

When any terrorist is caught in India he is not punished rather, he is given royal treatment in Indian prison for many years. Probably waiting till his gang kidnaps a celebrity, enabling them to pressurize the government to let him free.  Till now more than Rs 60cr has been spent on Ajmal Kasab. The annual expenditure on terrorists is more than 4,400cr .If this money would have been spent on education of poor children India would have taken a huge benefit out of it. We need to think that in a country like India where more than 41.6% people fall below the poverty line can we afford to spend millions of tax payer’s money on these terrorists rather than on work of public interest.
The anti terrorism legislation failed to give a punishment to a terrorist. In case of Afzal Guru the accused of attack on the Indian parliament, who has been awarded death sentence by the Supreme Court but was not executed due to flimsy excuse that his mercy application is pending before the President. This shows the loopholes in the Indian Judicial system which becomes so liberal before the criminal’s who keep on attacking the Temple of Democracy in India. Similarly, in the case of Ajmal Kasab the only alive terrorist who attacked Mumbai on 26/11/2008 and killed hundreds of people. Today even after more than two years of this event he has not been punished by the anti terrorism legislation. and was arrested by our brave soldiers who sacrificed their life for this cause because of the loopholes in our system.
In this campaign what we want is nothing but justice. We demand justice for martyrs.  We demand justice for those who have suffered due to these terrorists. We demand justice for India.
